Eight weeks of targeted preparation designed around what OPDL coaches actually look for. For serious U13–U17 players aiming to make the provincial talent pathway.
Most players prepare for OPDL tryouts by doing what they already do — more of it. That's a mistake. OPDL evaluators look for specific qualities at specific ages, and they make decisions in the first 20 minutes of a tryout. Walking in unprepared is the #1 reason talented players don't make the cut.
Our program is built by coaches who know the pathway firsthand. We work on the technical, tactical, physical, and mental qualities evaluators want to see — and we simulate the tryout environment so your player walks in calm and confident, not overwhelmed.
Runs as an 8-week private-session block with optional video review and a tryout debrief call. Limited to 6 players per intake so every session is a priority.
Includes 8 private sessions, 2 game-tape reviews, and a post-tryout debrief.

Every block is tailored to the individual player's position, age group, and goals — but the eight-week arc always follows this progression.
| Week | Focus | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Baseline assessment | Full player profile — technical, tactical, physical, mental. We identify the 3 areas to prioritize. |
| Week 2 | Technical polish | First touch, passing under pressure, finishing. Repetition until the execution is reliable at speed. |
| Week 3 | Position-specific work | Movement patterns, decision-making, and game actions specific to your position. |
| Week 4 | Game-tape review #1 | Video breakdown of a recent match — what worked, what didn't, what evaluators would notice. |
| Week 5 | Tactical intelligence | Reading the game: scanning, body orientation, pressing cues, transitions. |
| Week 6 | Tryout simulation | We run drills in the exact format used by OPDL clubs. Time-pressured scenarios, evaluator's perspective. |
| Week 7 | Game-tape review #2 | Second video review — measuring progress, final corrections before tryout day. |
| Week 8 | Mental prep + final tune | Pre-tryout routine, nerves management, sleep & nutrition basics, confidence work. Player leaves ready. |
